Santo Domingo. – One month and four days later, the first Judicial City of Santo Domingo Este prepares to complete the transfer and authorization of all its courtssecretariats and agencies of the Judiciary, a process that will culminate on February 13, 2026.
The opening of the modern judicial complex began on October 27 of last year, when it began to offer services to users and lawyers.
Meanwhile, the authorities of the Judiciary continue working on the adaptation of the parking areawhich will be used by both employees and users, lawyers and other people who come to the building to carry out legal proceedings.
He next January 19 will be transferred and enabled courts and offices of criminal jurisdictionas well as the Interview Center of said jurisdiction. This transfer will eliminate the use of the van where the hearings of coercive measuresin addition to leaving behind the small and uncomfortable spaces in which the criminal courts operated in the building located on Charles de Gaulle Avenue, in Santo Domingo Este.
Likewise, on February 13, the comprehensive services for Boys, Girls and Adolescents, both in the Civil and Criminal areas, thus completing the total implementation of the Judicial City.
With this change, the justice system leaves behind precarious conditions to give way to modernity, with intelligent courts and decent spaces, as part of the process of transformation of the Judiciary, promoted for more than six years by its president, Luis Henry Molinasince the beginning of his management in April 2019.
This was expressed at the time of the authorization of the first Judicial City of Santo Domingo Este, highlighting planning based on purpose and vocation for service.
The transfers were carried out in phases, with the aim of not paralyzing services or knowledge of judicial processes. The new building It has connection areas for virtual audiences, a training room and a self-management area.
The complete authorization process, in all its phases, will culminate on February 13, 2026, as part of the strategic axis of the Judicial Branch aimed at “100% access.”
The Judicial City of Santo Domingo Este has 22 courtrooms in all matterswith large spaces with the installation of technological tools and application with artificial intelligence with the objective of knowing the processes virtually and in person, according to the eventuality of the process.
So also of administrative offices from where services are offered to users. It also has spaces for public service, designed to optimize judicial management and guarantee timely and efficient service, according to statements by Judge Luis Henry Molina.
This modern building, which will house offices and courts of jurisdictionrepresents the tangible result of an institutional vision that conceives justice as an essential public good, built to serve better, offer more agile responses and strengthen citizen trust, guaranteeing that each user feels that justice belongs to them.

Each process must be processed in an orderly manner and each file must be resolved on time, strengthening the democratic legitimacy of the State and reaffirming the value of judicial work.
