Since the start of operation this Thursday (19), Line 11-Coral of the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) has been running on a single track and with greater intervals between the Brás and Tatuapé stations.
The situation is a reflection of the derailment of an MRS Logística freight train, in the early hours of Wednesday (18), at around 2:10 am, close to CPTM Brás Station. The circulation of trains on Lines 11-Coral and 12-Safira was partially closed for a period yesterday morning.
CPTM informed, in a note, that this morning the company’s maintenance team is working on repairing the track, replacing ballast, rails, sleepers and adjusting the geometry to later complete the network alignment. Single-lane circulation allows maintenance technicians to continue their work.
The forecast is that for the afternoon rush hour the road will already be open without restrictions and circulation will be normalized on Line 11-Coral. Since yesterday, teams from CPTM and MRS Logística, with more than 70 technicians, have been working on site. According to CPTM, around 1:30 am this Thursday, the last locomotive was removed.
CPTM requested 10 buses from the Paese System between Brás and Tatuapé stations. Other options for passengers are Line 12-Safira and Line 3-Red of the Metro, which are available for transfers at Tatuapé and Corinthians-Itaquera Stations.
CTPM Commercial Operations on lines 7-Rubi, 10-Turquoise, 12-Safira, 13-Jade and the Expresso Aeroporto service are normal this Thursday morning (19), according to the company.
