The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (MTESS) was selected by the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration of the OAS to provide cooperation to the Ministry of Labor of Peru on “Strengthening digital skills for employability.”
The Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) of the Organization of American States held the 15th call for the presentation of proposals from the Ministries of Labor, both as requestor or provider of cooperation on certain topics.
In total, 53 proposals were received, involving 15 Ministries of Labor of the States that are part of the OAS. Among them, 46 proposals met all the requirements and entered the selection process.
Five proposals for virtual cooperation were selected, including the Ministry of Labor of Paraguay, taking into account the criteria of relevance and opportunity of cooperation. The activity rationale shows why this cooperation is required at this time.
The needs and challenges of the beneficiary institution, as well as the expected results are explicit. Likewise, clarity of objectives, expected final product is clear and achievable through a virtual activity, explicit commitment of the parties involved, among other criteria.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security (MTESS) of Paraguay participates for the first time as a provider institution, after having received cooperation through the RIAL on 9 occasions.
The selected ministries and their counterparts must meet to coordinate and jointly define the dates of the sessions, which must be held between the months of May to December of this year, as well as the contents to be addressed, and the steps to prepare the final product.
The head of the Labor and Employment Section of the OAS Department of Human Development, Education and Employment, María Claudia Camacho, congratulated Paraguay for having been selected as a provider of cooperation in this 15th call of the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration ( RIAL).
