Course for Students of the Technical School issued by the AFAP Republic
Students of the baccalaureates of the Higher Technical School of Melo have been receiving information on pension system, labor insertion and generation of a curriculum vitae in the framework of a course that is being carried out in the Annex Hall.
After the coordinations made by Professor Yesica Méndez, the Regional Manager Norte and the Departmental Executive of the Republic AFAP agreed to dictate this training that is done on all the departments of the country.
“On this occasion we are visiting, as we usually do in workshops in different departments, the entire Uruguay bringing young people the advantages of the pension system, also referring to what occupability is, how to get a job, how And above all they know in the local environment where they stand as future workers ” commented Roberto Nazar.
“We about the pension culture always bring technical information and above all useful for young people who are going to start. The idea is to be able to position them from the point of view that they can understand how the system works, the improvements it has had, the changes it has suffered. All that is very relevant, they take it very well and we give us much happiness to share these spaces with young people and with teachers who also accompany us” The regional manager of the North Zone of the AFAP Republic assured.

“We have already been talking with young people for about 30 years, with those responsible for companies, to provide workshops, which is the way we have to be in all locations, throughout Uruguay. It is the policy of the AFAP Republic to always be present in the territory” Nazar said later.
“We do this throughout the country, we do it in all departments. AFAP Republic has a presence in all departmental capitals. In the case of Cerro Largo we also have a temporary agency in Rio Branco” He pointed out.

Internship program
“AFAP Republic for about 16 years is a pioneer in this to insert administration or marketing students to carry out an internship in the Broup” Mauricia Vila said.
“Many workers have come out of that agreement that UTU has with Republic. Now, a very important thing, that has been extended to other Melo businesses that they are doing under the same system. As a result there is more employability because other chiquilines manage to have their work experiences in other types of areas for work” said.
“The experience with Republic has been very good. In these 16 years more than 200 interns have made their first work experience with us. First they make a 9 -month internship and then, they are handling well and developing well in the task, a contract of up to two years is made” explained.
