In La Vega a woman was arrested after being accused of having caused the death of his own daughter about 12 years old, in a confusing event that occurred in the Las Maras sector, Jeremías.
The detainee was identified as Ana Yajaira Núñez Batista, 38, who, according to what was reported to Free Daily by a relative of the dead minor whose identity was omitted, she had remained for more than two days with the already dead girl inside the house.
Likewise, he added that the infant’s father, from whom he was separated, only told him that someone had poisoned her and she died.
“She herself went out and went to her father and asked him for money to buy a box and told him that the girl had been poisoned and ran away. So, when they went to the house, they found her dead,” he told Free Daily a cousin of the dead teenager.
The body of the deceased was raised by the authorities on Friday afternoon and was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) in Santiago, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the real causes of death.
The police spokesman in La Vega, Dixon Rojas, confirmed the arrest of the woman and that the case is under research judicial.
“The Police went to the place and it was confirmed that a lifeless body of a minor under 12 years of age was found, the process of research together with the Public Ministry, and forensic doctor. Investigations are ongoing.”
He kept the girl isolated
The relative of the deceased teenager revealed that the girl’s mother kept her isolated at home, did not allow her to have friends and had even withdrawn her from school.
“She hardly left the house, she had the girl the same as her: isolated from everyone. She did not let her get together with more children and she took her out of school because she suffered from asthma and had diabetes, she took her out on the health to be taking care of her. Sometimes not even the father wanted to allow him to see her, “said José Aquiles.
The case is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office of the Court for Children and Adolescents in the province of La Vega.
