María Paula Marta Pérez, 14 years old, died in an unfortunate accident on December 14 in Puerto Parra, Santander. The girl was traveling with her mother, Luz Marina Pérez, aboard a ‘motocarrucha’, a handmade vehicle that circulates on the train rails.

This Saturday morning, an accident occurred on the railway line, in the area known as Las Montoyas, between Barrancabermeja and Puerto Parra, which resulted in the death of a 13-year-old girl.
According to witness testimonies, a screw on the wheels of the “motorcycle” had come loose, which caused the vehicle to destabilize and its occupants to be thrown onto the rails.
Sadly, the minor fell onto the tracks and suffered a fatal blow. Other passengers were also injured in the accident.
