Upon arrival, the agents withdrew a carafe about to explode and fought to contain the fire, while waiting for the arrival of the firefighters. However, the fire had already consumed much of the property.
Moments later, the child’s parents arrived at the place, visibly desperate, along with two of his children. Among screams of anguish, the father cried: “No, my son, no”, while the mother, in tears, begged: “I want to see my son.”
The leading radio journalist, who broadcast the emergency live, broke into tears when the most feared news was confirmed. “There was a child, holy God, cannot be … he is burned, he was sleeping,” he said, moved by the scene.
Firefighters found the body of little Liam curled up, without the possibility of escaping from the fire. The heartbreaking scene dismissed the neighbors, the forces of the order and the means present.
