The Trade Safe Project (TraSa) and the Dominican Poultry Association (ADA), signed a collaboration agreement with which both entities They promised to execute cooperation projects with a view to strengthening the Dominican poultry sector.
TraSa, financed by the Department of Agriculture of the United States Embassy, has as one of its main objectives promote the development of the national poultry industry, improving productivity and health in Dominican poultry farms, as well as the safety of products and by-products derived from birds.
“It is a pleasure to support a visionary sector that wants to use compliance with best practices of manufacturing to raise safety levels in poultry processing centersopening new markets, while taking care of the health of Dominican families» said Brian Rudert, director of the TraSa project, executed in the country by the international non-profit organization International Executive Service Corps (IESC).
For his part, the president of ADA, José López, pointed out that “this agreement is a great step for the Dominican poultry industry, since we will be able to promote concrete initiatives that improve the competitiveness of our national producers and that, without a doubt, will translate into tangible benefits for our consumers”.
Through this agreement, joint initiatives will be carried out that contribute to the production and marketing of products poultry meets high standards of health and safetylaying the foundations for Dominican poultry products to access international markets such as the US.
