This Thursday, April 17, more than 300 national and foreign tourists will arrive in the city of Huancayo aboard the emblematic Lima – Huancayo Tourist Train, within the framework of the celebrations per Holy Week. For 12 hours, passengers will enjoy an unforgettable tour through the Andes, aboard the highest train in America and the second highest in the world.

The arrival is planned between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm at the Huancayo station, where visitors will be received with a cultural sample organized by the Regional Directorate of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Dircetur). The welcome event will include a tasting of typical dishes, traditional drinks and a presentation of folk dances representative of the region.

“Our intention is for each tourist to take the best of Junín and thus contribute to boost the local economy through tourism”highlighted Julio Abanto Llaque, director of Dircetur, highlighting the cultural and economic value of this type of activities.
