Santo Domingo.- Following complaints made by hundreds of people who were scammed by a travel agency, the Ministry of Tourism on Wednesday rejected the company’s actions On vacation in the DRwhich stated that it was not registered with that ministry and was not licensed to provide any tourist services in the Dominican Republic.

“We take this opportunity to remind the population that since 2021, the Ministry of Tourism has digitized operating licenses and made available the National Tourism Registry, a web resource where companies that provide tourism services, including travel agencies and tour operators, can be validated, as well as their operating licenses and their status. We recommend checking the RNT or requesting the QR code of the company’s license before establishing a business relationship or purchasing tourism services,” the statement concludes.
