This Saturday they registered rows of up to 2.5 kilometers in it San Martin international bridge, which connects the Uruguayan Fray Bentos with the Argentine Puerto Unzué, near Gualeguaychú. The long wait occurs at the start of the Tourism Weekin which many Uruguayans chose to cross the border to vacation in the neighboring country.

As reported by the Highway Police, the lines start at half past six in the morning. “Caminera personnel remain organizing traffic and providing securityuntil the situation is normalized,” they added from Caminera.

To avoid further delays, the Ministry of the Interior announced in recent days that from Friday, March 31 to Monday, April 10, inclusive, those Uruguayans who travel abroad with minors may leave the country without presenting the birth certificate.

This flexibility is enabled as long as these minors are listed in the parents’ marriage book.
