The eighth stage of the Tour de France took place this Saturday, and in a fraction that had an end ideal for packers, the Belgian Wout van Aert -who is still dressed in green (points classification)-, was the winner of the day.
The rider of the Jumbo Visma He beat Australian Michael Matthews (BikeExchange) and leader Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates)who fell short in the sprint.

For its part, the Colombians arrived in the main group, losing four seconds overall to Pogacarand seeing how van Aert deducted ten seconds from them, while the second of the day did so with six (in all stages there are bonuses).
In such a way, we will have to wait especially for the new high mountain stagesin which the ‘beetles’ could generate arguments to discount time and seek the podium of the French round.
For now, when everything is ready for the ninth stage, Daniel Felipe Martínez, Nairo Quintana and Rigoberto Urán remain in the top 20 of the CG.
