Torrealba: With the release of resources, Venezuela will improve services

Venezuela hopes that the resources that remain sequestered will be released, after the signing of the Second Partial Agreement between the national government and the opposition, in order to be used for specific plans and projects, part of them related to public services, he stressed on Tuesday the Minister for the Social Work Process, Francisco Torrealba, who is also part of the dialogue table.

During a television interview, Torrealba indicated that the national government plans to use these retained resources in projects that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has discussed with all sectors of the country.

«After the signing of the Second Partial Agreement hope they are released the resources that are kidnapped, to be used specifically in the plans and projects that the Government of Pdte. @NicolasMaduro has defined and that they have discussed, “he said on Twitter.

As for the first three billion dollars blocked, whose release from the international financial system has been agreed, it is planned to use 250 million for the attention of the water service in the country.

«With 3,250 million dollars, a good amount to open. Our expectation now is that they comply with releasing those resources,” he said.

The desire of all, Torrealba said, is that “the resources were released immediately, it would be normal for these resources to never have been blocked, or it would be normal for Venezuela to have access to the markets and the international financial system,” he added.

Comptrollership of resources

Referring to the control of the resources, Francisco Torrealba pointed out that once the funds flow to the Trust, they will be used for the recovery and rehabilitation of schools and hospitals, as well as for the attention of the national electrical system, among others.

“All of this is very clear there, our hope and our expectations is that they will release the resources now,” he stressed.

With reference to the lapses to initiate urgent projects, the government representative at the dialogue table explained that there are commissions that work so that the United States agencies that froze the resources finish releasing them.

permanent dialogues

Minister Torrealba stressed that the dialogues in the country have been permanent, and with all sectors, which has remained a policy of President Nicolás Maduro.

“When it comes to dialogue with all opposition platforms, President Nicolás Maduro Moros meets and talks, so these dialogues are permanent and are being developed to achieve adequate conditions for the country,” he added.

Signature in Mexico

Last November 26 a meeting was held in Mexico City, made up of the national government and the Unitary Platform of Venezuela, where the Second Partial Agreement for the Social Protection of Venezuelans.

It is expected that these resources, which oscillate between 24,000 and 30,000 million dollars, withheld due to the illegal actions imposed on the country, will be used to develop productive projects aimed at sectors such as electricity, food, health, education and care for people affected by rains in recent months.
