Last minute. The Judiciary has scheduled the sentence reading against the former president of the Republic Alejandro Toledo Manrique and others investigated by the ‘Case of Ecoteva’.
As is known, the Prosecutor’s Office accuses the ex -president and his wife, Eliane Karp, of being co -authors of the crime of money laundering, asking for sentences of more than 16 years and 8 months civil repair.
After listening to all the allegations of both parties involved, defense and the State, justice set this Wednesday, August 27 when the day will end this emblematic trial.
In its official social media accounts, the Judiciary reported that the “Ninth Criminal Chamber of the Court of Lima program the sentence reading for 03/09, at 02:15 pm”.
The former president is expected to connect virtually on that date, as he has already purging a sentence of more than 20 years for the ‘Odebrecht case and the construction of the interoceanic.
The rest of the accused by the ‘Ecoteva Case’. They will also know their sentence, which goes from 10 to 16 years, according to their accusations this Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Penalty requested by the ‘Ecoteva Case’:
- Alejandro Toledo, co -author: 16 years and 8 months
- Eliane Karp, co -author (wife): 16 years and 8 months
- Avraham ‘Avi’ Dan On, co -author (former security chief): 16 years and 8 months
- Shai Dan On, co -author (son of Avi): 13 years and 4 months
- David Eskanazi, primary accomplice: 13 years and 4 months
- Eva Fernenbug, co -author (mother -in -law): 10 years.
