The Federal Judiciary Council (CJF) finally delivered yesterday to the Senate the list of all the positions of judges and magistrates in the country, information that will allow that chamber of Congress to define the positions that will go to the June 2025 election.
Even last night, during the session, the agreement was defined for the insaculation this Saturday of 50 percent of places in courts and tribunals that will be renewed in the extraordinary electoral process next year.
Neither the president of the board of directors, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, nor the president of the Political Coordination Board, Adán Augusto López Hernández, wanted to advance the data provided by the CFJ. It is known that the report specifies that there are 186 vacancies that will go directly to the election, and therefore will not go through the lottery.

López Hernández said that the complete list would be made public on the Senate’s website this morning or in the morning, and explained that the drawing will take place on Saturday, which is expected to last all day, because it will be done charge by charge. .
He explained that advisors from the National Electoral Institute (INE) are invited to the senatorial session. It will begin with the roll call and then the mechanics to carry out the insaculation will be presented, for which the installation of ballot boxes and the use of spheres is contemplated, in a procedure similar to that used by the Chamber of Deputies to elect the current president of the electoral body.
Previously, López Hernández complained that the opposition had rejected allowing only a representative group of the Senate to witness the draw, which is why all 128 senators had to be summoned.
