Real Tomayapo respected its home field and defeated Royal Pari 1-0 this Saturday at the IV Centenario stadium, on date 26 of the Clausura tournament of the Professional Division. Leandro Corulo scored the only goal of the match, which complicated the Santa Cruz team’s aspirations to close the gap with Guabirá in their fight to escape indirect relegation.
During the first half, the dispute centered on the middle of the field; Sometimes the balls were greatly abused and neither team did the necessary merits to break the zero. The only clear scoring opportunity came in the 15th minute after a play on the right wing that ended with a cross that could not be well connected by Mirko Tomianovic, who sent the ball to the right post.
From then on it was a monologue; Both Tomayapo and Royal Pari played not to make mistakes and did not approach the rival goal with much vehemence.
The few approaches of the visit were through set pieces, but the intentions were not aggressive enough to harm the goal defended by Pedro Galindo.
In the second half, Tomayapo advanced lines and at 55′ found an unbeatable opportunity to open the scoring. Halysson Padilha committed a handball inside the area and the referee did not hesitate to award the maximum penalty; Leandro Corulo was in charge of exchanging the shot for a goal to score 1-0 for the local team.
Royal Pari, hit by the goal, tried to react immediately and almost achieved equality through a free kick from Tobías Moriceau that hit the crossbar of the goal defended by Pedro Galindo. Until that moment, it was one of the clearest he had throughout the meeting.
Desperation took hold of the visitor, who needed to equalize the score at all costs; He managed to control the actions, created some situations, but found himself with a solid Tarija defense.
Finally, there will be no time for more and Tomayapo ended up keeping the three points that allow it to climb to eighth place in the accumulated table with 45 points, keeping alive its hopes of reaching an international tournament in 2025.
For its part, ‘Real Estate’ suffers its promotion and becomes complicated in the relegation zone, placing itself in the indirect zone with 30 units, leaving it five behind Guabirá, which is currently saving the category.
