Thomas Guanipa, Vice President of Primero Justicia (PJ) and delegate of the Unitary Platform at the Board of Negotiation and Diálogo, maintained that the administration of the social fund, which will be made up of the resources released abroad and which will be carried out by the United Nations (UN), is a guarantee of transparency.
“There are those who say that we are giving 3 billion dollars to Nicolás Maduro, but it is not so. It is a fund administered by the UN, which will have international standards in terms of transparency. And furthermore, the fact that the United Nations manages this gives you a guarantee not only of a different and independent administration, but also shows that in Venezuela there has been a mismanagement of resources and that the problem of Venezuelans has worldwide attention.” Guanipa said, in a press release this Thursday, December 1.
The leader of PJ ratified that in the return to the negotiation in Mexico they do not renounce their ideas. “But we understand that the best thing that can happen to the country is that this agreement between very different parties, but which places the Venezuelan center at the center, becomes a great mechanism for the country to enter a different stage,” Guanipa stressed.
Likewise, he pointed out that the Unitary Platform continues to sit at the Negotiation table “to defend what we believe, the right to property, to progress, to be respected. That the United States, Norway, the Netherlands, and Spain are in this negotiation is an opportunity for Venezuelans to reach agreements despite the differences we have.”
On the other hand, this Thursday, Tomás Guanipa swore in the National Secretariats of the PJ Vice Presidency for Political Affairs “so that they carry out their work plans at the service of Venezuela.”
