The prosecutor of the internal nation, Tomás Gálvez, began to move his pieces inside the Public Ministry and decided to reconfigure sensitive areas by changing several prosecutors related to the suspended Delia Espinoza.
Among the most relevant decisions adopted by Gálvez and endorsed in two resolutions is the transfer of Marcial Páucar Chappa, provisional supreme deputy prosecutor and head of the area specialized in illicit enrichment and constitutional complaints, appointment that he obtained when Espinoza assumed as the highest representative of the public ministry. Páucar has been referred to the first provincial office of the First Corporate Prosecutor’s Office specialized in Cybercrime of Lima Centro.
Another provisional supreme deputy prosecutor of the nearby circle of the suspended prosecutor of the Nation and who will be rotated by provision of Gálvez, is Hernán Mendoza, who also worked in the area specialized in illicit enrichment and constitutional complaints.
In April of last year this prosecutor led the operation in which the house of President Dina Boluarte was raided, as well as the presidential office in Surquillo, within the framework of the investigations for the Rolex case. To execute the search, the door of the president’s domicile had to be forced in view of the door to the police and prosecutors who presented themselves in the operation.
The change of the supreme attached prosecutor, Luis Arturo Ballón Segovia to the First Supreme Criminal Prosecutor’s Office was also ordered. Ballón was the magistrate who, last June, raised before the Judicial Power, suspend for 36 months the Supreme Prosecutor Patricia Benavides, the fierce rival of Espinoza in the Public Ministry.
