Tolls will be free of cost until 6:00 a.m. on January 1

Peajes estarán libres de costo hasta las 6:00 de la mañana del 1 de enero

Santo Domingo.- RD Vial reported that, on the occasion of the New Year festivities, the country’s tolls will be free of cost from 6:00 pm this Tuesday, December 31, 2024 until 6:00 am on Monday, December 1 January 2025.

He indicated that this measure seeks to facilitate the transportation of citizens to their destinations, promoting a more agile vehicle flow and contributing to the well-being of Dominican families on one of the most significant dates of the year.

The director of RD Vial, Jean Luis Rodríguez, highlighted that this provision reflects the institution’s commitment to serving citizens: “We want each Dominican to be able to share with their loved ones on this special occasion, without additional worries. In addition, we reiterate our call for caution on the roads to guarantee a safe start to the year for everyone.

Likewise, he added that the measure will also allow employees who work at the stations to share this time with their loved ones and family.

RD Vial reminds users that this measure will be in force exclusively during the indicated period and urges them to maintain respect for traffic regulations, as well as to use the customer service channels for any questions or concerns.
