The main figures of Together for Change (JxC) will face each other this Thursday afternoon in the Buenos Aires town of Olivos, in the north of the suburbs, to unify legislative positions and try to lower tensions between the different sectors.
To the appointment, that doors inside they called it a “retreat”The main leaders of the opposition coalition will attend, such as Mauricio Macri, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, Gerardo Morales, Gustavo Valdés and Patricia Bullrich, among others, reported sources from the opposition coalition.
The meeting will last five hours – between 1 and 6 pm – and will be an opportunity to unify positions – before the parliamentary debate on the agreement with the IMF, among other issues – and also to calm tensions between the different sectors.
2022 began for JxC with an advancement of electoral times, in the sense that the possible presidential candidates in the space have already begun to deploy their strategies.
In this sense, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta has already organized his political table that will accompany him towards that goal, headed by Diego Santilli and Jorge Macri, and will begin to tour the country.
These tours have also already begun for Patricia Bullrich, who appeared on the Atlantic Coast and will continue her march to other points in Argentina.
The governor of Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, who is also taking his first steps as the new head of the UCR National Committee, also began to organize his technical teams.
After two months of internal tensions after last year’s legislative elections, the National Board of Together for Change managed in the last month for the coalition to have unified positions, both on the issue of the agreement with the Fund and on the changes it requested the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation around the Council of the Judiciary.
Regarding the understanding with the IMF, announced by President Alberto Fernández, the opposition coalition promised in a document to analyze the agreementbut asked for “more precision” about its content.
Regarding the changes requested by the highest court in relation to the composition of the Council of the Judiciary, the National Board of JxC announced that they are working on a unified project between the different forces that make up the opposition space.
