This Monday the trial against the leader of Fuerza Popular resumes, Keiko Fujimorifor alleged illicit contributions to his presidential campaigns, within the framework of ‘Cocktails Case‘.
The Third Collegiate Criminal Court of the Superior Court must announce whether it agrees to the request of Fujimori and another dozen investigators, who requested that the judicial process against them be annulled in application of the ruling of the Constitutional Court.
As recalled, last December, the highest interpreter of the Constitution declared the habeas corpus presented by José Chlimper founded and ordered that the accusation against him be annulled for the alleged crimes of money laundering, obstruction of justice and criminal organization.
In that sense, Keiko Fujimori and the other defendants requested that the process against them also be annulled. Those who made the request are Ana Hertz, Jaime Yoshiyama, Efrain Goldenberg, Adriana Tarazona, Pier Paolo Figari, Luis Barboza Dávila, Augusto Bedoya Camere, Vicente Silva Checa, Antonietta Gutiérrez Rosati, and Mark Vito Villanela.
The Public Ministry, represented by prosecutor José Domingo Pérez, requests 30 years and 10 months in prison against the leader of Fuerza Popular. In addition, he requests 15 years and 5 months of disqualification for the alleged crimes of money laundering, generic falsehood, criminal organization and false declaration in administrative proceedings.
The hearing has been called for this Monday at 9:00 am
