The national deputy director of Purchases of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Ewaldo Pitti, gave a balance of the acquisition of medicines and offers that national and foreign companies can make to participate in the online quotes of the 129 medicines that are critically out of stock.
He indicated that the Panama Compra portal has enabled an online quote request mechanism, in which bidders must have previously registered with the CSS.
“Any national and foreign proponent may submit a proposal. In the case of nationals, they must submit their health registration, in the case of foreigners they may submit a certificate of free sale issued by the Health Authority of origin of the medicine, they can also provide the manufacturing and good manufacturing practices certificate and an authorization from the manufacturer that must be validated by the Social Security Fund,” he explained.
He said that the mechanism will be quite expeditious and the technical evaluation cannot be carried out in more than 24 hours.
