In May of this year, Mincetur announced that they had already achieved the substantial conclusion of the negotiation and that only the signing of the agreement with the economy was pending, which in 2023 became the third destination for Peruvian non-traditional exports.
Among the products that Peru sends to Hong Kong are grapes, avocados, fish meal, sea urchins, zinc, copper and clothing. Meanwhile, we mainly import capital goods.
On the other hand, Desilú León pointed out that the holding of APEC benefits micro and small businesses. “The holding of this type of forums and commercial agreements also benefit MSEs,” he commented.
