Today is the Day: combating hepatitis and human trafficking are highlighted

Two of the most important dates of the week between July 28 and August 3, 2024, invite us to reflect. Today is World Hepatitis Day, established by the World Health Organization. This day is part of Yellow July, a month dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of viral hepatitis and the importance of preventing, diagnosing, and treating these diseases. The other date is the World Day to Combat Trafficking in Persons, established by the UN. Celebrated on July 30, it aims to raise awareness about the crime of human trafficking, which affects millions of people around the world to this day. In 2014, the Reporter Brazil fhe said about the date.

On the same day, International Friendship Day is celebrated, a date that was also established by the UN. The date was created in 2011, when the United Nations General Assembly decided to invite all member countries to celebrate friendship.
