Brazilian music is the main highlight among the celebration dates of the week. Today, August 17, the birth of Fluminense sambista Antônio Candeia Filho, known as Candeia, completes no less than 90 years. In the week there is also another historical memory of Brazilian music. The beginning of the movement called Young Guard turns 60. Marco was the debut of the show starring Roberto Carlos, Erasmo Carlos and Wanderléa, who debuted on TV Record in 1965. The date has already been remembered in subjects from Brazil agency and from Cultural warehousefrom the MEC AM.
A third historical fact, this time not related to music, marks the week. This is the 50th anniversary of the launch of the Viking 1 probe by NASA, which reached Mars in 1976. It was the first time a vehicle sent by Earth reached the planet. The episode and all its importance were counted for the Brazil agency in 2020.

To close the week, we have the day of folklore. Celebrated on August 22, the date celebrates popular traditions, legends, myths and all the cultural richness of Brazilian folklore.
