On January 8th, the birth of the so-called “King of Rock” is celebrated. It was on this date, in 1935, that Elvis Presley was born. On the 11th, two events also draw attention in the world of music: the 80th birthday of Geraldo Azevedo (author of hits such as “Dia Branco” and “Táxi Lunar”) and the 40th anniversary of the first edition of Rock in Rio. Geraldo has already been featured on TV Brasil in appearances on All Bossas and in Samba da Gamboawhile the festival was remembered in a special from the EBC Radios website.
