Today 840 new cases of COVID were detected in the country, 62 in Cologne

According to information provided by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP), 8,784 tests were carried out today and 840 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 were detected.

Of the 840 new cases, 439 are from Montevideo, 95 from Canelones, 62 from Colonia, 33 from Maldonado, 30 from Cerro Largo, 23 from Treinta y Tres, 20 from Durazno, 20 from Lavalleja, 17 from Florida, 15 from San José , 15 from Tacuarembó, 14 from Rocha, 12 from Paysandú, 11 from Flores, 10 from Artigas, 9 from Rivera, 8 from Salto, 5 from Soriano and 2 from Río Negro.

Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 6,037,194 tests have been processed and 890,980 positive cases of Coronavirus have been registered throughout the national territory. Of that total, 878,876 have already recovered.

Today, 2 deaths with a diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 were registered in our country (detailed table is attached). So far there are 7,171 deaths diagnosed with COVID-19 in Uruguay.

There are currently 4,933 active cases, that is, people who are experiencing the disease, 35 of them are in critical care centers.

Of the total confirmed positive cases, 19,962 correspond to health personnel. 19,759 of them have already recovered, 173 are suffering from the disease and 30 have died.

To date, all departments register active cases.
