The regional airport network managed by Tocumen International Airport processed 457,703 passengers during the first seven months of this year, that is, 28,317 more passengers than the same period in 2023. In addition, 14,532 aircraft movements were managed.
According to data provided by the Statistics Department of Tocumen International Airport, the regional airports with the highest passenger movement during the month of July were: Panama Pacifico, with 38,280; followed by Enrique Malek Airport, in David, with 23,511 and Scarlett Martínez, in Río Hato, with 2,017 passengers.
Currently, Wingo and Aeroregional flights operate at the Panama Pacific International Airport; while at Enrique Malek, Wingo flights operate to and from the Panama Pacific Airport; and Copa Airlines flights operate to and from the domestic terminal at Tocumen Airport.
Meanwhile, at Scarlett Martínez Airport, Air Transat and Sunwing airlines operate charter flights for Canadian tourists from Toronto, Quebec and Montreal, with all-inclusive packages in hotels located on the Pacific Riviera, with the option of enjoying other activities that will help boost the economy in the attractive towns in the central region of the country such as Coclé, Veraguas, Panama West and the Azuero region.
