Tocumen International Airport is positioned as one of the most punctual in the world this after the British aeronautical analysis firm, Official Airline Guide, (OAG) revealed the most punctual airports and airlines in the world as part of its Punctuality League 2023.

Tocumen obtained position nine among the 20 most punctual Hubs in the world and in the ranking in Latin America, it obtained second place during 2022, according to the result of the Punctuality League 2023 study, carried out by the international consultancy OAG.

Last year, Tocumen managed 133,084 aircraft maneuvers and obtained an on-time operations (OTP) percentage of 88.65%, according to OAG’s definition of punctuality, which imposes a limit of 15 minutes before or after the announced takeoff or departure time. of commercial flights. This measurement also takes into account cancellations, which are recorded as delayed flights.

According to this ranking, the most punctual airport in Latin America is the Brazilian Pinto Martins, followed by Tocumen International Airport in Panama. In third place, the Belo Horizonte Airport in Brazil was taken over and the fourth was occupied by Alejandro Velasco Astete from Peru.
