‘Tocha’ began robbing banks and became a boss of the PCC

Felipe Edvaldo Menezez Iglesias was 20 years old and started in the world of crime robbing banks in the State of Pernambuco, in Brazil. Before, he was only an expert in robbing people. Years passed and little by little he entered the world of drug trafficking and hit men. He escaped several times from prisons in Brazil and did the same in Bolivia, where he worked as a hitman, but also transported cocaine to his country. Menezez is known as Tocha and is a boss of the PCC.

Menezez Iglesias has a long history in his country. He has at least 40 cases against him, dating back almost 20 years. He faces charges for the crimes of grand theft, bank robbery, use of weapons, drug trafficking, murder of police officers and other citizens, use of forged documents, organization of criminal groups and gangs, crimes against property, among others. Also, he escaped several times from Brazilian prisons and others remained in attempts.

On September 14, 2021, it was the last time that Felipe Edvaldo was locked up in a prison in Brazil. At that time, three inmates tried to escape, but only he succeeded. Since then he was wanted in his country.
In 2013, the also considered “one of the most dangerous bandits in the state of Pernambuco”, along with two other inmates, tried to escape from the Provisional Deprivation of Liberty House of Agent Luciano Andrade Lima (CPPL I), in Itaitinga, a municipality in the state of Ceará, in the northeast region of Brazil.

Under the same modus operandi, in September 2021, the Highly dangerous Brazilian hitman fled from the Dr. Edvaldo Gomes prison, in the Brazilian municipality of the interior of the state of Pernambuco, Petrolina. According to the Secretary of Resocialization (SERES) of Brazil, the prison wall was jumped.

Then he went to Bolivia, where he worked as a hitman, but also transported cocaine. towards Brazil. In the country, he managed to escape from the Palmasola prison after being arrested for the death of the businessman from the north of Santa Cruz. After 30 hours of his escape, he was recaptured and it was decided to transfer him to the Chonchocoro prison, where on Tuesday he easily escaped to a hospital and once again escaped, killing one of his bodyguards. Today, he is back in Chonchocoro.
