The two Chilean citizens arrested on Friday on suspicion of to have been responsible for the robbery of the mautone sanatorium from Maldonadooccurred last Tuesday, They were convicted and will go to prison.
As reported, Christoper Alexis Jara Lazcano and Antonio Isaac Jara Pérez were declared criminally responsible for a crime of robbery especially aggravated in real reiteration with a crime of carrying a weapon for a repeat offender, and will face a sentence of 7 years and 6 months in jail.
Both had a record for a robbery committed in 2018 in Montevideo.
The robbery was committed at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, when the criminals entered with firearms and threatened those who were in charge of the boxes to give them the money. Then they eloped.
The Maldonado Police assured that no one was injured.
