Azua.-The CEO of the State Economic Canteens (CEED), inaugurated this Friday in the municipality of Estebanía, Azua province, a dining room with the capacity to produce five thousand cooked portions daily, for the benefit of the community residents in this demarcation.
Edgar Augusto Féliz Méndez expressed yesterday “we left this dining room installed, to serve food to the people, this is not a dining room for the Perremeistas, it is a dining room that is installed by the government of President Luis Abinader Corona, for the people of Estebanìa.”
The owner stated that the institution at this time has more than 200 requests for economic dining facilities throughout the national territory and seeks to respond to that demand.
“We have to thank the president who spares no effort, nor does he deny us the little money to install all the economic kitchens that are necessary in the province of Azua, and throughout the national territory, since this social assistance institution has planned before that December arrives, open 50 or 60 new economic dining rooms, throughout the country, ”said Feliz Méndez.
On her side, the governor of Azua, Ángela Gray Pérez, thanked the director of the Economic Dining Rooms and the President for the installation of this dining room in the municipality of Estebanía and other premises that are proposed to be opened in the different communities of the Province. Likewise, the vice mayor and interim mayor of Estebanía, Martina Ortiz, thanked the central government, on behalf of the mayor and the community, for the inauguration of such an important food production unit, which will positively impact thousands of citizens in this area.
After his main speech, director Feliz Méndez was recognized by the Estebanía Chapter House as a “Distinguished Guest” of this community, for the work he has been doing in his administration, positively impacting the public, especially low-income people.
