As part of its support for the country’s climate goals and international agreements, the Popular Association of Savings and Loans (APAP) adheres to the Climate Neutrality Now initiative of UN climate change, part of the United Nations which seeks to promote actions in favor of the climate.

With this, the financial entity commits to continue strengthening the measurement, reduction, compensation and annual information of its greenhouse gas emissions, being the first financial entity to adhere to this global initiative.

“Although APAP has concrete achievements and progress towards carbon neutrality, the goal is to strengthen our commitment through a more robust eco-efficiency and renewable energy strategy, which includes support for compensation projects”expressed Mildred Minaya, vice president of Communication, Reputation and Sustainability of APAP.
