Coach Tite has called up the Brazilian men’s soccer team for the last two friendlies before the Qatar Cup, against Ghana and Tunisia, on September 23 and 27, respectively, in France. The news in the list of 26 players are defenders Bremer (Juventus) and Ibañez (Roma). The forward Pedro and the midfielder Everton Ribeiro, both from Flamengo, are back in the team, in addition to Roberto Firmino (Liverpool).
The absences from Tite’s list also came as a surprise. The coach left out Philippe Coutinho, Gabriel Jesus, and Daniel Alves. Of the three full-backs called up, only Danilo plays on the right, but Tite stressed that defenders can eventually play the role of right-backs.
Brazil and Ghana will face each other on September 23, at the Stade Océane, in the city of La Havre (FRA). Four days later, in Paris, the team faces Tunisia, in the Parc des Princes, in Paris. Both games will be at 15:30 (Brasília time).
This is Tite’s last list before the last call-up for the World Cup, on October 21st. Brazil in the Qatar Cup on November 24 against Serbia, for Group G, which also has Switzerland and Cameroon.
