Tik Tok users in Montana will be fined up to $10,000

Users who download, receive or use the Tik Tok social network in the State of Montana in the United States will be fined up to $10,000.

This after Governor Greg Gianforte will officially ban this social network this Wednesday, May 17.

Gianforte, signed a law against the application that will take effect from 2024.

Gianforte said this legislation will be put in place in order to “protect the personal and private data of Montanans from the Chinese Communist Party, I have banned TikTok in Montana.”
