Three young people drowned in a watercourse in the Mendoza town of San Martín, east of the provincial capital, police sources reported.
The event occurred minutes before 12 when a call to 911 alerted that three young people who were bathing in a canal located on Carril Norte and Callejón Esperanza had entered the water, but had not returned.
Upon arrival at the scene, police officers began to search and found the bodies that were dragged two kilometersthe sources added.
There the uniformed men managed to get one of the bodies out of the canal, while the other two were rescued from inside the channel by the neighbors. Sand performed CPR maneuvers, with negative results, the sources indicated.
An ambulance from the Coordinated Emergency Service (SEC) arrived at the scene and the doctor in charge verified the death of the victims.
Police sources indicated that theThe fatal victims are a 19-year-old girl and two other young people, ages 18 and 23, from the area.
Meanwhile, according to a police report, no signs of violence were observed on the bodies, only the blows product of the drag. The Fiscal Office of the 12th Police Station is involved in the investigation.
