Three Venezuelan brothers die in fire in Cúcuta

Three Venezuelan brothers lost their lives during a raging fire that started in their home located in the Once de Noviembre neighborhood, in the Los Patios municipality of the Cúcuta metropolitan area, in Colombia.

The Fire Department and the Technical Investigation Department (CTI) analyze what could have caused the fire that took place at about 9:30 in the morning on Tuesday, December 6.

The minors were identified as Yosfran Jesús Castillo Aguín, 4 years old, who died at the scene of the fire; Yoskar Andrés Serrada Aguín, 2 years old, who died a few hours later in a hospital and Jefferson Josué Díaz Aguín, 11 months old, lost his life this Wednesday at the hospital in cucuta.

Local media They report that the little ones were alone because their grandmother had left for a moment. The neighbors tried to save the children from the flames, but without success.

The children’s grandmother arrived a few minutes later, entered the house and was also affected by the fire. She is under medical observation.

“They could no longer enter because the smoke would not let. I was screaming, calling the police, firefighters, when people started to come out hearing me scream, the police arrived 10 minutes later,” said Beatriz Celis, a resident of the area.

The Mayor’s Office of Los Patios expressed solidarity with the Venezuelan family. “The administration will be responsible for everything, we will cover the expenses and on top of that we are calling a vigil tonight.
