The three winning ideas of Voices for Digital Conscience, an initiative of the Credicorp Group which in its third edition brought together more than 4,800 young people from Latin America, were conceived by Peruvian talent. The winning proposals address key topics such as the fight against bullying, the prevention of child sexual exploitation and the development of more inclusive education.
The IAContraElMiedo project, presented by Mariajose Forno, consists of creating a web extension based on artificial intelligence that monitors conversations on social networks and messaging platforms to detect bullying and send alerts, promoting a safer digital environment.
On the other hand, EducAI, an idea developed by Elvis Requejo and Josué Domínguez, is a web application designed to improve attention in children with ADHD, using artificial intelligence to offer personalized support. Finally, GuardIAns, an initiative by Xilene Siquero, seeks to prevent child sexual exploitation through an educational platform aimed at the school population.
For Gianfranco Ferrari, CEO of the Credicorp Group, VOICES for Digital Consciousness reaffirmed the interest of young people in being part of the changes that the region needs.
“In these 3 years, more than 10,000 young people have joined the call for change and we are proud to see what we have built since we created VOCES, because it is urgent to continue acting in each of our countries in favor of progress. Thank you to all the participants for contributing their innovative vision to the creation of unique projects.”
The 10 VOCES finalists had the opportunity to meet in Bogotá, Colombia, where in addition to sharing experiences with other young people, they also received mentoring from the evaluation committee and Credicorp directors.
“Thanks to this experience I have questioned things that I did not have in mind before, so it represents a change in mentality regarding the idea that I proposed but also in life,” said Mariajosé Forno, creator of the idea IAContraElMiedo.
“Voces has allowed me to connect with a community of young people from Latin America with innovative ideas and an evaluation committee open to supporting us so that the ideas become reality,” said Xilene Siqueno, representative of the GuardIAns idea group.
“The lack of a tool that covers the educational needs of children with ADHD motivated me to develop the EducAI initiative,” said Elvis Requejo.
Each of the winning ideas will receive a financial incentive of US$15,000 to promote their development. This support is provided once the teams complete a rigorous learning process and specialized mentoring with experts in the field. Finally, a representative from each winning idea will attend the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, the largest youth summit in the world.
