Three members of the criminal organization Tren del Llano, were killed after confronting a Cicpc commission in the La Alejandría sector, MacGregor municipality (El Chaparro), Anzoátegui, according to police sources.
One of the killed is identified as Ramón Celestino Toledo, nicknamed Chicho Toledo, 54 years old. This subject appeared in one of the videos sent last March by the criminal group to one of the agro-producers in the region to demand a large sum in dollars and allow him to continue working his land.
Chicho Toledo was requested from the 3rd Control Court of Guárico, Valle de la Pascua extension, for the crime of intentional homicide, committed in 2013, according to files.
But in addition, he presents police records for generic robbery (01/19/1995 and 12-24-1991) and intentional homicide (08/17/1998, 05/31/2005 and 06/15/2013), among other crimes.
At the site of the confrontation, the agents of the Cicpc-Aragua of Barcelona collected an AR-15 rifle, caliber 556, without mark or serial number, equipped with a magazine containing 27 ammunition of the same caliber; two rifle magazines with 20 556 caliber cartridges each, as well as two pistols: one Browning American 9mm, serial 215RP36098, with inscriptions alluding to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and the other, a Colt Z40, caliber 9mm, serial 0160-Z.
The scientific police agents also obtained an accessory vest with green straps, a hat, a flashlight and a portable internet device.
Last March, the Tren del Llano installed a cell in the Pedro Zaraza municipality from where it organized gangs that extort money from agro-producers settled in neighboring towns such as El Chaparro, Onoto, Santa María de Ipire and Tucupido, among others.
The Ministry of the Interior, Justice and Peace has twice launched the Operation Thunder aimed at dismantling the criminal organization.
A first deployment was carried out in the José Tadeo Monagas municipality (Altagracia de Orituco), where the Tren del Llano was born, supported by Gilberto Malony, who was shot down in November 2021 in the town of San Juan de Unare (Sucre), where he emigrated. for alliances with Colombian drug cartels.
A second phase of Operation Thunder was launched three weeks ago in the municipalities located to the east of Guárico: Leonardo Infante (Valle de la Pascua), José Félix Ribas (Tucupido) and Pedro Zaraza (Zaraza).
