Santo Domingo.- After accepting the request of the Public Ministry, a judge from San Cristóbal imposed three months in prisonas extent of coercionagainst a man who was part of a criminal organization linked to the sale and trafficking of controlled substances.
The measure was imposed against Angel Miguel Figuereo Santana (El Güero and Capito) for the acts committed within the network that had its operations center in the municipality of Cambita Garabitos, in the province of San Cristóbal.
The prosecutors of San Cristóbal, Ramona Santana Uceta (incumbent) and Laura Segura Cordero, in charge of the investigation, establish in the request for a measure of coercion that the accused was arrested on November 30, 2025 when search warrant No. 01541-AJOA-03702, dated November 28, 2025, was executed against him, while he was in a house in his property located on the San Cristóbal-Cambita Garabitos highway.
The instance indicates that the Public Ministry and the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD) began the specialized intelligence, monitoring and surveillance work that led to the arrest of Figuereo Santana approximately two months ago.
In said place, in addition, a wallet was seized that contained eighty-three (83) portions of a white powder, presumably cocaine, wrapped in cuttings of plastic covers, as well as one (1) cell phone, Tecno Spark brand, one (1) black scale, with no visible mark, in addition to the sum of RD$1,200.00 Dominican pesos.
Subsequently, another house of the accused and a man who is a fugitive, identified as Fay, was raided, which is located on the Cambita Garabitos highway, Los Cacaos, where, after the authorities searched the property, on November 30, a backpack was seized that contained a transparent plastic sleeve, with the amount of seventy-six (76) portions of a white powder, presumably cocaine.
In addition, five portions of a green vegetable, presumably marijuana, as well as the sum of one thousand three hundred (RD$1,300.00) Dominican pesos.
The Public Ministry granted the case the legal classification of violation of articles 5, literal A; 6, literal A; 75, paragraph II, of Law 50-88, on Drugs and Controlled Substances.
