A judge of the Judicial Office of Permanent Care Services of the Duarte province imposed three months of preventive detention this Thursday, as measure of coercionto a doctor who is accused of sexual violation to a patient.
He court arranged the sanction against the doctor Wilvert Polanco Sanz.
The decision establishes that the accused must comply with the measure in the Correction Center and Vista Al Valle Rehabilitation, in San Francisco de Macoris.
According to the file presented by the Public Ministrythe events would have occurred in the past February 17around 9:00 in the morning, after the victim, a Haitian citizen, was referred from a polyclinic in the Los Limones municipal district, in the municipality of Pimentel, to undergo a diagnostic test at the health center owned by the accused, located in the municipality of Las Guáranas.
According to the accusationduring the medical procedure the doctor would have committed the crime of aggravated rapeby taking advantage of the authority conferred on him by his functions as health professional.
In addition to the foreigner, whose name the authorities are omitting to protect her integrity, two other women They claim to have been victims of sexual abuse by the doctor, in events that allegedly occurred during check-ups carried out in the year 2019.

Polanco Sanz has denied the allegations and said he was “stunned” by the accusation.
