Three missing young women found alive

Puerto Ayacucho. A deployment coordinated by the Amazonas State Police Corps (Cpea) and the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) culminated in the rescue of three young people who were in a vulnerable situation after their disappearance.

These are two teenagers, Wuiliandis Caña (16) and Norelis Blanca (16), along with the young Adriana Rodríguez (18), who were found alive in the El Campito sector of the Carabobo neighborhood, near the Orinoco River.

At the time of the operation, the victims were allegedly shipped to Casuarito, in Colombian territory.

The release was possible thanks to field work carried out by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIP). Therefore, the authorities acted based on precise information that allowed them to intercept the alleged perpetrators just when they were trying to transport the young women out of the country.

Two citizens were arrested at the scene for their alleged links to a human trafficking network. A third person involved managed to evade the action of the security commissions, so the corresponding search mechanisms were activated to locate him, as reported by the competent authorities.

The three young women, whose disappearance was reported since last Wednesday, February 18, received initial attention from the teams present at the scene.

The two detainees were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry, which will continue with the investigations to clarify the facts and determine responsibilities.
