The Rio de Janeiro Civil Police and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security report that it was carried out on the morning of Easter Sunday (20), an operation to avoid the murder of a homeless man for alleged criminal organization who, according to the authorities, planned to transmit the crime over the internet.
In a statement, the Civil Police states that agents of the Child and Adolescent Victim (DCAV) and the 19th Police Station detained three men in Vicente de Carvalho, in the north of the state capital, and in Bangu, in the West Zone. The arrest warrants were fulfilled with the support of the Cybercinical Operations Laboratory (Ciberlab), the Ministry of Justice and Public Security.
The identities of the homeless man who would be the target of the attack and the three detainees were not disclosed. Also according to the Civil Police, the three men arrested are young, were part of the “organization of the organization that intended to murder a homeless man” and transmit the crime through the Discord platform, “in exchange for money.”
“The agents [investigadores] They investigated the existence of a network of young people who used the Discord platform to perform and disseminate atrocities, such as animal abuse, induction of self-mutilation, virtual rape, racism and incitement to crime, such as “entertainment”, says the Civil Police, adding that the group also promoted digital attacks on black, women and adolescents, “with serious consequences in the real world”.
Also in a statement, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security states that Cyberlab servers identified, on social networks, messages about the homicide and crime display plan on social networks. “The investigated articulated practices of extremely cruelty, associated with hate discourses, extremist symbologies, religious radicalism and other manifestations of extremism,” says the folder, reinforcing that the three detainees this morning are pointed out as leaders of the virtual criminal community.
“One of them publicly presented itself as an environmental and protective activist of animals, which brutally contrasted with their conduct in the networks, where it promoted and shared acts of extreme violence and perversity,” the ministry says. According to the Civil Police, this same man, has participated in several international environmental events.
The operation that resulted in the arrest of the three suspects and, supposedly, frustrated the murder plans of a homeless person’s name – that the police officers chose to highlight “the concealment and the misconduct with which the investigated people maintained a public image of life, the environment and ethics, while in the scenes they acted with cruelty, intolerance and perversity”.
