The decision, according to Meneses, comes after complaints through social networks, where it was revealed that these three officials were allegedly stealing and exchanging checks from the institution’s headquarters in Panama East and Panama West.
The director of the Institute for the Training and Use of Human Resources (Ifarhu), Bernando Meneses, reported that a total of three officials were separated and dismissed from their positions for the alleged theft and exchange of scholarship checks, which were about to expire.
The decision, according to Meneses, comes after complaints through social networks, where it was revealed that these three officials were allegedly stealing and exchanging checks from the institution’s headquarters in Panama East and Panama West.
Regarding the investigations, he mentioned that “since day one we have done all the pertinent investigations and what the law allows us, it will be up to the Public Ministry to delimit all responsibility of these officials.”
He added that the amount of these checks does not exceed 10,000 dollars, but that “they are amounts that belong to the State, it does not matter if it is one dollar, five or 10,000. We have the responsibility that the officials account for those monies.”
