Three died during a fire in a bakery in Acarigua

Three people died and four were injured during an explosion and fire in a family bakery that worked in the Bosque de Camoruco sector, Acarigua, Portuguesa, which occurred on Wednesday night, according to police sources.

Two of the fatal victims are identified as Miriam Ysbeli Carrasco Primera (42) and her son Carlos Alberto Vélez Carrasco (20). The identity of the third deceased is in the process of verification, but it is a neighbor who worked in the artisan bakery.

The first versions indicate that the explosion was caused by the accumulation of gases. Neighbors noticed the incident and knocked down one of the doors to help four of the victims who were injured by the flames. Among the injured are two daughters of Mirian: a 17-year-old teenager and Emely Abreu Carraco (25). The baker José Luis Moreno Quintero (46) and the administrator of the premises, Nancy Carrasco Primera (55) were also reached by the flames, which warranted their transfer to a health center.

The burning house was approached by fire officials who put out the fire late Wednesday night.
