An intense police operation shook the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo yesterday afternoon. In a joint deployment between the Military Police of Brazil and Peruvian security forces, a violent confrontation against a dangerous criminal network with transnational presence was unleashed. The main objective: to capture Erick Moreno, aka ‘the monster’, considered the most wanted criminal in Peru.

“Intelligence information about the location of this subject was had, and this information was shared with the competent authorities. As a result of this collaboration, the operation was executed,” declared.
Adrianzén also pointed out that it would be a transnational criminal organization: “Everything would presume that it is a criminal network linked to ‘the monster’, as this dangerous subject is known.”
For its part, Interpol revealed that at least three of those involved – including and captured – They had active requirements for crimes committed in Lima, Trujillo and Arequipa. However, identifications are still in process, due to the need to contrast information.
