The Roman. Three dead, two civilians and a policeman, was the balance when a man shot at two alleged thieves on a street in The Roman.
The event occurred in Callejón Guaymate, on Eugenio A. Miranda Street, in the sector of Villa Pereira.
The man, identified by the community as Daniel Guerrero, who supposedly works as a cabinetmaker and lives in the same place, shot two people who had allegedly committed a robbery.
Community members called the police and when the agents arrived, Guerrero barricaded himself in his house with a rifle and fired shots, injuring several policemen, and one of them died while receiving medical attention.
The man remains entrenched and sometimes shoots at the policemen who ask him to surrender. A security perimeter was established in the area due to the large number of onlookers.
The situation keeps the neighborhood in suspense, whose residents said that cases of violence are rare.
