Three children died in a house fire.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in a house located on Santa Ana and Basilio Delleva streets.

Two babies and a 4-year-old boy died when their home caught fire in the Buenos Aires town of Hurlingham while they were in the care of a nanny who tried to save them, police sources reported Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in a house located on Santa Ana and Basilio Delleva streets and the flames reportedly started while two brothers ages 4 and 2 were playing and the babysitter was sleeping with two 1-year-old twins.

As the caregiver herself told the police, one of the children woke her up screaming because of the fire, the causes of which have not yet been officially reported.

As a result of the accident, the babies and the boy who gave the alert died while their 2-year-old sister managed to save herself and was transferred to the municipal hospital, as well as the nanny and her 8-year-old daughter who was also in the house.

The case is being investigated by the Moron Prosecutor’s Office.
