Three siblings were sentenced to prison after being found guilty of defrauding 27 people with 46 million pesos by convincing them to invest under the promise of remunerating them up to 12% of the invested capital in monthly profits.
The Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance of Santo Domingo Oeste established two years of prison against New Starlyn Toribio Cruz and Wendolyn Magdalena Toribio Cruz and six months in prison Maverick Wendilai Toribio Cruz for defrauding victims through the company Bull Trading, SRLlocated in the municipality of Los Alcarrizos.
Those convicted must serve their sentences in the Correction and Rehabilitation Centers Najayo Men and Womenin the province of San Cristóbal.
Judge Wendy Polanco accepted the evidence presented by the Public Ministryrepresented during the trial by the trial prosecutor Andry de los Santos, also ordering the defendants to return the defrauded amounts in the sum of forty-six million and to pay compensation of thirty million pesos in favor of the plaintiff. .
The investigative prosecutor, José Lenin Hernández, established in the accusation against the Toribio Cruz brothers, that they, through fraudulent maneuvers and posing as specialists in financial areas and money managers, defrauded the victims in this criminal process, using the name of the commercial company Bull Trading, SRL, to generate confidence in depositors.

The judicial document also highlights the way in which the defendants classified and recruited their victims, who were selected in the churchesin their workplaces and looked for certain profiles of people who did not represent a problem for them.
According to the accusation, the initial proposal made by those prosecuted to the victims was that with their investments they would obtain benefits that ranged between 12 and 15 percent monthly for the capital delivered for an average of earnings of approximately 144% in one year from the capital invested.

The actions committed by the accused constitute a violation of article 405 of the Dominican Penal Code.
