Three miners died inside a mine located in the Nacupay sector, El Callao municipality, Bolívar state, according to police sources.
They presume that death was caused by gas inhalation. The deceased are identified as Ronniel Mejías Payo (22), Renniel Mejías Payo (20) and José Ramón Tarazona Blanca (26), the source specified.
The bodies were extracted last Wednesday from the La Vincle mine, which is south of Bolívar. The spread of the gas also caused damage to Brayan González and a 16-year-old teenager, who were taken to a local health center.
In another event, the bodies of two men were located in the vicinity of a ravine that passes through the El Tamarindo sector, Sucre parish, Caracas.
The bodies had gunshot wounds, according to preliminary versions.
A commission of the Caracas Fire Department and the Cicpc went to the site to remove the bodies and begin the investigations.
